Description
These agricultural buildings, located about 30 metres south-west of Hardwick Cottage, date from the early 19th century and have had some alterations in the 20th century. They are constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof. The barn runs north to south, with a storeroom extending east from the north corner and a stable attached to the south side of the storeroom at the east end. The east front is designed with two gables: the stable on the left has a low pitch and is single-storey, while the storeroom on the right is taller with a steep pitch. The stable features a centrally placed ventilation hole with a semi-circular head and a wide entry under a timber lintel. The storeroom has a loft door in the gable with a semi-circular head and a wooden door frame, as well as a ground floor door to the left with a wooden frame and timber lintel. Together, these buildings form a picturesque group with Hardwick Cottage.
