Description
This is an early 18th-century barn located in Clifford, near Priory Wood. It is a timber-frame structure, clad with weatherboards and set upon a high rubble plinth. The gables are of rubble construction, and the roof is covered with stone slates. The barn comprises four framed bays, with a threshing floor situated in the bay to the west of the center. The timber framing is arranged in two rectangular panels, and the trusses feature two raking struts and a high collar, along with straight tension braces attached to the trusses below the tie-beam. The gables incorporate ventilation slits; the east gable has two segmental-headed pitching holes, and the west gable has one.
