Description
This building is a barn and an attached stable, dating from the 18th century, located approximately 50 metres east of Hardwick Manor House. The barn is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched corrugated asbestos roof. It has a long rectangular shape with 10 bays, including two stable doors, two loft doors, and two wide threshing floor entrances, all with wooden lintels. Inside, there is a 10 bay butt-purlin roof. The stable, also from the 18th century, is similarly built of coursed limestone rubble and has a steeply pitched corrugated asbestos roof. It consists of three bays and has a three-window arrangement with shutters, along with exterior stone steps leading to the left door.
