Description
This is a barn, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, located about 30 yards east of The Meadows in Preston Wynne. The structure is timber-framed with weatherboards and brick infill panels, topped with a tiled roof. It consists of three bays arranged east to west. The north elevation features patterned ventilator holes in the painted brick infill, while the south elevation is weatherboarded over the top two rows of four panels. There are central opposed entries on the building. Both gables are weatherboarded, although the west gable is partially obscured by a brick extension that has a dentilled eaves cornice to the south, which is likely a former stable. Inside, there are raking struts from ties to principals, contributing to a picturesque effect from the northeast.
