Description
This building is a barn located 50 meters west of Weston Hall, dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with parts of the exterior weatherboarded and others plastered. The roof is thatched with reeds and has gable ends. The east wall is rendered and has two pairs of double doors, with the eaves raised slightly over these openings. The gables are weatherboarded. The west wall is also weatherboarded and includes double doors and a projected gabled porch. There are later pantiled lean-tos at the north end. Inside, the barn has cambered tie beams and a butt purlin roof with straight wind bracing, with some structural members being reused. The barn is included for its group value with Weston Hall.
