Description
This is a barn located about 15 yards south-east of The Moor, with the dates "JED/1724" on a plaque on the north side and "JED/1727" around an owl hole in the west gable. The barn is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a hipped Welsh slate roof that slopes to the east, with a sandstone verge on the west side. It consists of five bays arranged in an east/west direction. The north elevation has a ledged cart entry in the center bay, which is topped by a raking roof, and there are two rows of vent slits on either side. The west gable includes two vent slits located beneath the dated owl hole. There are rear extensions to the south that were added in the 19th and 20th centuries, but these are not included in the listing. Inside, the barn has trusses where two posts rise from ties to collars, with braces extending from the ties to the principals over the threshing floor.
