Description

This barn, located about 30 yards north-east of Garway Court, dates back to the 18th century. It features thinly coursed sandstone rubble with roofs made of corrugated iron and Welsh slate. The barn has five bays that are aligned roughly north to south, with a projecting wing to the west at the south end.

On the south elevation, there is a gable front to the right, which includes a square opening below the eaves level and an owl hole in the center of the gable top. The verges are supported by kneelers, and there is a gabled finial at the apex. The projecting wing has two rectangular openings on the ground floor and one on the first floor, along with two loops nearby and a ledged stable door on the west gable.

Inside, there are raking struts from the ties to the principals in the north/south range. This barn is included for its group value as a dated example of barn architecture.
