5/10 Baptist Chapel

GV II

Baptist chapel. Late C18 to early C19 with late C19 alterations. Finely coursed sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings and hipped Welsh slate roof. One storey. Two by two bays, glazing bar windows with intersecting top astragals in 2-centred openings with projecting keystones, central entry in late C19 or early C20 gabled porch on west end. Attached to east is a gabled wing containing a north-facing glazing bar window, probably early C19, decorated with swags. Interior: noted as late C19 with pine furnishings. The chapel is situated in a prominent position in the dispersed village of Garway.
