Description
Winsdale is a house dating from the mid- or late 19th century, marked by the plaque "FG 1835" on its south elevation. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings, topped by an asbestos slate roof and featuring brick end stacks. The house has two storeys and three windows, which are mid- or late 19th century casements. The ground floor windows are set beneath segmental openings that have dressed voussoirs and projecting keystones. There is a six-panelled entrance door located slightly to the left of centre. Attached to the left side of the house is a low single-storey building with a brick stack and a mid-19th century door, likely a former smithy. Winsdale forms a strong group with the nearby Baptist Chapel.
