Description
Quarry Cottage is an 18th-century cottage constructed with a timber frame and brick infill, topped with a plain tiled roof. It features an external stone end stack with a detached brick shaft on the north side. The cottage has two bays that run roughly north to south and is one storey high with an attic.
On the west elevation, there are evenly spaced late 20th-century three-light casement windows, with one window on either side of a glazed gabled central porch and one in each of the two flat-roofed dormers above. The timber frame consists of three panels high to the gables, with diagonal struts extending from the top rail of the west side wall to the corner posts.
To the east side, there is a lean-to brick extension, which is a single storey and partly obscures the end stack at the north end. The cottage is included for its group value.
