Description
Stone House is a hop farmhouse that features a tablet on the rear stack dated 1714, although it is largely from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed sandstone and has a hipped slate roof with two stacks at the rear. It has a rectangular plan with a rear projection from the center. The main facade faces southwest and consists of two storeys and attics, with three windows. The ground floor windows are glazing bar sashes with 16 panes, while the first floor windows have 12 panes. There is a central early 19th-century door with six panels and a fanlight, which is flanked by fluted wooden pilasters and located at the back of a segmentally-headed porch supported by two slender cast iron columns. A curved coursed sandstone ha-ha is present at the front of the property.
