Description

Lock Cottage, originally a lock keeper's cottage, is now a dwelling built around 1843. It features coursed sandstone with a slate roof and brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan aligned east to west on the north side of the former Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal. It is two storeys high with three windows. The south elevation has glazing-bar sashes, with the central first-floor window being blind. The entrance is located on the north side. The east cross-wing is not included in this description. To the south, there is the site of the adjoining lock, which contributes to the current terrace.
