Country house villa. Dated 1795. Early C19 remodelling; C20 additions. Rendered stone, hipped slate roofs. Irregular plan broadly two rooms deep with central entrance and stairwell, end stacks. Two storeys, 1:3:1 bays, glazing bar sash windows, central pediment with giant Tuscan order pilasters obscured by Ionic portico added in 1970. Central elliptical headed doorway with decorative overlight and side lights, 6-panelled door. Interior retains fine plastered ceilings and impressive elliptical staircase lit by central cupola.
