Description
Ganarew Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, and possibly earlier. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a slate roof. The main range is aligned east to west and faces south, with a slightly lower section to the east and a forward projecting wing to the west that features a 20th-century glazed lean-to in the angle. A rear range extends to the north, adjoining the rear range of the Manor House, which is aligned north to south. The main range has an end stack and a central axial stack, while the forward projection has a gable end stack. The entrance is located to the right of the main range, with secondary entrances through the glazed lean-to and in the lower section to the east of the main range. The building is two storeys high with irregular fenestration, featuring decorative Gothic glazing bar designs throughout. There are 2- and 3-light casements, with four on the first floor and three plus one on the ground floor. The doors include a 20th-century partly-glazed door and a ledged door in the lower east section. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
