Description

The Manor House is a house that likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and early 20th century. It is constructed of rendered stone and has a slate roof. The main part of the house runs north to south and faces east, with a later rear extension that extends further south to connect with Ganarew Farmhouse, which is aligned east to west. There is an early 20th-century extension that projects forward to the north of the main range. The house features end stacks and a single lateral stack to the south of the entrance, with the main range positioned slightly north of center.

The building has two storeys and an attic, with irregular window arrangements. On the first floor, there are five mid-19th-century casement windows, including three-light and two-light designs. The ground floor has one four-light and two five-light casements, all with transom lights. There are also four gabled dormers with two-light casements, and all dormers and ground floor windows feature Gothic glazing bar designs with leaded lights. The early 20th-century extension to the right (north) ends in a two-storey bow window with casements and includes a gabled porch with decorative barge board detail and a partly-glazed door. The gable ends have stacks with diagonally placed shafts, two on the left and three on the right.

Inside, the house contains imported panelling, with some sections dating back to the 17th century located in the room to the right of the entrance. There is also a blocked three-light stone mullioned window in the rear wall of the first-floor room above.
