Description
Townsend Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with 20th-century additions and alterations. It features a timber frame with sections of painted brick and plaster infill set on a sandstone rubble plinth, topped by a tiled roof. The building consists of two framed bays and has a rear lateral stack, with additional structures added to the back. The entrance is located on the north front. It is a single-storey building with an attic, which includes a small gabled dormer window with a two-light window on the left side. The ground floor has one two-light casement window to the left and two similar windows to the right of a ledged door that is sheltered by a gabled canopy.
