Description
Heathwood Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has undergone some 20th-century alterations. The building features a timber frame with a sandstone plinth, and it includes sections of brick and wattle-and-daub infill, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The structure consists of five framed bays arranged in a north-west to south-east alignment, with a large axial stack located toward the gable end and a central entrance.
The farmhouse is a single storey with an attic, featuring two gabled dormers that contain 2-light casement windows. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century bay window to the left and a small window to the right of a gabled 20th-century porch, which has a panelled door. Additionally, there are two 20th-century windows in the extension to the left. The framing includes three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with V-struts in the gable.
