Description
This barn, located about 10 metres west of Hardwick House, dates back to the 17th century, with some alterations made in the late 18th century and late 20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has painted brick infill, featuring diamond hit-and-miss ventilators, all set on a coursed rubble plinth beneath a concrete tile roof. The barn consists of four framed bays arranged in a north-south direction, with a former threshing floor positioned to the south of the center. The east front includes a half-height double door. The framing consists of four square panels high, and the gable-end trusses are supported by four struts to the collar and V-struts at the apex.
