Description
The Mary Miles memorial is a headstone located approximately 8 meters south-east of the south porch of the Church of St Deinst. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. The headstone features a cherub's head and a highly decorative foliate surround to a cartouche with a convex inscription panel. It commemorates Mary Miles, who died in 1767. This memorial is a fine example of local vernacular craftsmanship and is situated next to the notable Edmund Miles memorial.
