Description

This barn, located about 10 yards east of Poole House, is likely from the 18th century. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a timber frame covered with weather-boards, topped by a stone slate roof. The structure consists of three bays arranged in an east/west direction. The south elevation includes a small six-pane window to the left of a central gabled porch that provides entry to the threshing floor. Inside, there is a plain collar truss and another truss with V-struts. This barn is noted as a small, complete example that retains its traditional roof and wall cladding. Poole House is not part of this listing.
