Description

This is an aisled barn located approximately 25 metres northwest of Poole House, dating from the early 16th century and altered in the 17th century. The barn is timber framed, weatherboarded, and has a roof made of corrugated iron. It consists of six bays aligned roughly north-south, with a hipped roof at the south end and a midstrey to the east of the third bay from the north end. The structure features jowled posts, heavy studding, and a crownpost roof with curved axial bracing in the northern half, while the southern half has a clasped purlin roof. Additionally, there is an original brick threshing floor.
