Description

Spillings is an 18th-century house that has been extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with plastered walls and a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The building consists of two parallel ranges aligned north-south, each with internal end chimney stacks. There is a single-storey lean-to extension on the northwest side, which dates from the 20th century. The east elevation has one 18th-century double-hung sash window with 16 lights, along with 20th-century reproductions of windows with 12 lights. On the first floor, there are three 18th-century double-hung sash windows, each with 12 lights, with the middle window having a semi-circular top. Most of the external plaster is designed to imitate stone blocks, and there is a plastered parapet.
