Description

This is a late 17th-century timber-framed barn located north of Poole Hall. The barn features a brick nogged timber frame and a slate roof, standing two storeys high with twelve panels. It has a sandstone plinth and small framing supported by angle braces. The barn includes replaced half heck doors on strap hinges, as well as a loft door, also on strap hinges. At loft level, there is one flush casement window with a pivot light. Inside, the barn retains original purlins and trusses made from reused materials. A king post truss is present, with braces extending from the wall frame posts to the underside of the tie beam.
