Description

This barn, located about 50 meters north of Home Farm Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is timber framed and features horizontal weather boarding on a rubble Doulting stone plinth. The gabled roof is covered with double Roman clay tiles. The barn is single storey and has a five-bay "T"-plan layout. It includes trusses with ties and collars, supported by two purlins. The central bay has a roof that projects out beyond on brackets, creating porch entrances to the threshing bay. The full-height, vertical boarded double doors are partially intact, consisting of two parts.
