Description
This barn, located about 15 meters south-west of Home Farmhouse, likely dates from the 18th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame resting on a brick base, topped with a hipped double Roman clay tiled roof. The structure consists of five bays, with lean-to buildings on the north and south sides, both covered by castslide roofs. The first bay serves as an open waggon shed, the third bay has tall doors, and the fifth bay includes a pair of ordinary doors with a loft door above. This barn is an unusual example of a timber-framed building from this period, as stone was typically used in such constructions.
