Description

The Homes memorial is an early 19th-century pedestal tomb located approximately 3 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Lawrence in Stretton Grandison. It is made of sandstone ashlar and has a square plan. The tomb features a moulded plinth and capping, with a raised central rectangular finial and fluting below the capping. There are slightly raised inscription panels commemorating Thomas Homes, who died in 1803. The work is signed by D Yates of Hereford.
