Description

This barn dates from the 17th century and stands on the south side of Brinsop Cottage. It is a timber-framed structure with a sandstone plinth. Parts of the barn have been refaced with brick, woven cleft oak, and slatted infill, while the gable ends are clad in weatherboarding. The barn has five bays aligned east to west, incorporating a central threshing floor. It features three square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate, and has inclined strut trusses.
