Description

This barn, located approximately 10 metres east of Walsopthorne Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century and has undergone minor alterations. It features a timber frame with sections made of brick, cleft woven oak, and slatted infill. The barn has a sandstone plinth, weatherboard cladding on the west gable end, and a corrugated metal roof. It consists of six bays arranged east to west, with a threshing floor situated to the west of the center. The west end bay has been converted into a stable with a gable entry. The framing includes three panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate, inclined strut trusses, and two tiers of purlins.
