Description
This is a barn located about 30 yards east of Upper House, likely built in the late 18th century with some later alterations. It features a deep sandstone rubble plinth and a weatherboarded timber frame topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn is arranged in five bays and is oriented north-east to south-west, with two levels. The south-east elevation includes a ledged opening for a toilet on the right side, which is set within the weatherboards, and a central opposed wagon entry. The first floor is made of rubble and has two vent loops to the right of the entry. Inside, the barn has pegged king-post trusses, each supported by two pairs of parallel struts: one pair extends from the king-post to the principals, and the other pair connects from the tie to the principals.
