Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters south-east of Upper House, dates back to 1629. It is timber-framed and sits on a sandstone plinth, featuring part weatherboard cladding and part woven infill. The roof is tiled and was added in the 20th century, along with a later sandstone rubble bay. The barn consists of four bays arranged in a north/south direction, with a threshing floor positioned to the north of the center. The framing includes three square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate, supported by inclined strut trusses. Although the barn is complete, it is mostly concealed by a 20th-century building. It is noted for its historical significance as a dated example. Upper House itself is not included in this listing.
