BARTESTREE CP BARTESTREE Black and White Cottage

House. C17 with C20 alterations and extensions. Timber-framed with rendered infill, C20 brick plinth, sandstone base to stack, remainder of brick, tiled roof. Two framed bays aligned east/west facing south with east gable-end stack and present entrance through C20 addition to west gable end. Single storey and attic; south front, two gabled dormers with 2-light casement windows, one similar window to left and two to right on ground floor. Framing appears largely complete though renewed in parts, three square panels from sill to wall-plate with angle bracing from main post to wall-plate and V-struts in gable.
