4/41 Cowhouse about 50 yards north of Hanley Court

GV II

Cowhouse. Probably mid-C18. Brick with pantiled roof. Five structural bays aligned north-east/south-west. Two levels. South-east elevation has three segmentally-headed entries with-ledged doors and three ventilation slits, plat band and three segmentally-headed openings to loft; raised verges to gables. North-west elevation has tallet stairs rising from north. Interior has alternating system of trusses: pegged raking struts from ties to principals; alternate trusses have angle struts supporting tie-beams from floor beams. Burnt headers form lozenge pattern to gable facing road.
