Description

The William Fisher monument is a pedestal tomb located approximately 2 meters west of the west tower of the Church of St Giles in Goodrich. It dates from around 1830 and is constructed of ashlar stone. The monument features a square base with a moulded plinth and capping, which is further elevated and topped with a double cushion motif of tea-caddy type. The corners have rounded piers, and there are fielded inscription panels along with a plain frieze that includes rosettes at the corners. This monument commemorates William Fisher, who was late of Bryant Court and died in 1830.
