Description

The Fisher Monument, located about 7 yards south-west of the south-east corner of the Church of St Michael, is a chest tomb dedicated to John Fisher, who died in 1777. It is made of finely cut brown sandstone and features a moulded base and a flat moulded top. The tomb is adorned with corner balusters and advanced side panels that have quadrant corners. There are also incised borders for the inscriptions and on the end panels.
