Description
The Burgage Cottage and The Cottage are two houses that were originally three, built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of brick and topped with pantile roofs. The buildings feature cogged eaves and have two gable stacks and two ridge stacks.
The house on the left has a double front and displays two 2-light Yorkshire sash windows on each floor, along with a central 6-panel door where the top two panels are glazed. The ground floor openings are topped with segmental arches. The house on the right has a Yorkshire sash window on the left and a glazing bar sash on the right. It features an off-centre 6-panel door with an overlight, flanked on the left by a Yorkshire sash and a blocked doorway beyond it. To the right, there is another glazing bar sash, and the ground floor windows also have segmental heads.
