Description

Burgage Cottage is a house dating to around 1830. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building features a first-floor band, chamfered eaves, and three side wall stacks and one ridge stack. The windows are glazing bar sashes. The house is two storeys high and has a two-window range. It is arranged in an L-shape. The front facade includes a projecting gabled wing to the left, featuring a round-headed sash window. To the right of this is a similar window with a segmental head. Below the round-headed window to the left is a blocked round-headed carriage opening, and to the right is a segment-headed sash window.
