Description

The Grey House is a house dating to around 1860. It is constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. The house has a chamfered plinth and eaves, coped gables, and two gable stacks. It is two storeys high with a three-window front, with two projecting two-storey bays, each featuring a shaped gable and a blank shield. The central window is round-headed with a hood mould, flanked by larger margin-light sashes with round-cornered moulded surrounds and bracketed sills. Below, a central moulded round-headed doorway is flanked by round-headed scrapers, leading to a recessed round-headed half-glazed door. Similar sashes are present on either side. The left gable has a single round-headed window on each floor to its right.
