Description

Cloud Villa and adjoining workshop date from circa 1840. The building is constructed of brick with plain tile and slate roofs, and is partly colourwashed with a rendered plinth and dentillated eaves. Two gable and one side wall stack are present. The house and workshop form an L-shaped plan, with the main house being two storeys and two bays wide by five bays deep. Windows are glazing bar sashes, with splayed keystoned stucco lintels to the ground floor openings. The front elevation has a central door with a simple Classical doorcase and overlight, flanked by single sashes. Above the door are two sashes. The west gable has a casement window to the left and an external stack on stone brackets to the right; above these are two casements. The rear elevation features a blank opening and two casements, all with segmental heads. The workshop, attached to the west side of the house, has a casement and a door to the left, followed by a garage door, a stable door, and an opening with a common lintel. To the right again are an opening and stable door. Above, there is a casement and a door, and two casements to the right. A remnant of an external stack remains.
