Description
Bridge Bank Cottage and the adjacent workshop to the north were built in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of roughly-coursed rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The stacks have been rebuilt in yellow brick on their original bases. The building has two storeys and features three bays on each side.
The house on the left has a central six-panel door with a four-pane overlight, set in a chamfered alternating-block surround. It also has 12-pane sash windows with tooled lintels and slightly-projecting sills. The workshop to the right features Yorkshire sash windows with blacksmiths' glazing. The gables are coped with moulded kneelers, and there are corniced stacks at the left end and ridge, along with a shaped hexagonal gable finial on the right.
The right side of the building shows a boarded attic window, while the rear elevation displays a contemporary outshut for the house and boarded windows for the workshop.
