Description

This is a lacemakers' cottage, later converted into a house, dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick, with some areas rendered, and has a plain tile roof with dentillated eaves. A single gable stack is present. It is three storeys high and has two bays. A small, late-20th century lean-to addition extends from the rear. Windows are mostly 20th-century casements and Yorkshire sashes. Ground floor and first floor window openings have keystoned stucco lintels. The front elevation features a centrally placed door, flanked to the left by a round-headed casement in a blocked opening, and to the right by a casement. Above are two casements, and above that, two larger Yorkshire sashes. The east gable has a large 20th-century garret casement. The rear features a late 20th-century lean-to addition, a 20th-century casement above that, and two Yorkshire sashes above the lean-to.
