Description
Lound Hall Care Home, known as The Hall, is a house dating from the mid 18th century. It features a hipped slate roof with two gable stacks and a single ridge brick stack. The building has a moulded cornice and stands two and a half storeys tall with six bays. The central doorway is adorned with a half-glazed door and a narrow overlight, flanked by single Doric half columns, marginal lights, and Doric pilasters. These elements support a slightly projecting entablature topped with a central shaped segmental pediment. On either side of the doorway are two glazing bar sash windows with keystones. Above, there are six similar sash windows with keystones, and on the top floor, there are six smaller sash windows, also with keystones.
