Description
Green Lane Farm Cottage is a mid-18th century cottage with a 19th-century addition. It is built from rendered coursed squared limestone rubble and features a pantile roof with one brick gable and a brick ridge stack. The original layout was a two-unit plan, which has been extended to three units. The cottage is two storeys high with a four-bay front. The entrance is through an off-centre planked door, which is flanked by two-light sliding glazing bar sashes. The ground floor openings have segmental heads. On the first floor, there are two plain sliding sashes and a 20th-century three-light casement, all aligned with the eaves. Inside, the cottage has unstopped chamfered ceiling beams.
