Description
The farm buildings at Elms Farm House, dating from the late 18th century, consist of a pigeoncote, stables, and a barn. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings and feature pantile roofs, including one brick wall stack. The front of the building is irregular with eight bays; the left six bays are two storeys high, while the right two bays are three storeys. A wide segmental-headed wagon arch is located on the left, accompanied by a single window and a first-floor opening with a wooden lintel. To the right, there are two planked doors, a window, another door, and an additional window. On the first floor, there are two open windows and three that are blocked, while the third floor has two smaller blocked window openings. All window and door openings have brick segmental heads, and the windows are louvred. The right side elevation has a blocked window and doorway on the ground floor, and a large semi-circular headed opening on the first floor, featuring brick imposts and keyblocks, along with wooden flight holes. A fire insurance plaque is present on the pigeoncote.
