Description
Rosedene is a cottage built in the early 18th century, with alterations and an addition made in the 19th century. It features coursed limestone rubble and partially squared limestone, along with ashlar, brick, and stucco dressings. The roof is made of pantiles and has stone coped gables with kneelers, as well as two gable and one ridge brick stacks. The building is two stories high with a four-bay front, originally consisting of three 18th-century bays, with the right-hand bay being a 19th-century addition. The off-centre planked door has brick reveals and a segmental head. To the left of the door is a single two-light Yorkshire glazing bar sash, and to the right are two glazing bar sashes with splayed stucco lintels. On the first floor, the left-hand window is a two-light Yorkshire glazing bar sash, and to the right are two additional glazing bar sashes, all three windows positioned at the eaves.
