Description

A mounded weapon preparation area, designated D1 and built in the late 1950s.

MATERIALS: reinforced concrete set within an earthen mound.

PLAN: the structure has an irregular plan form caused by the earthen mound.

DESCRIPTION: the building is mounded, the only visible section is the entrance which is via a large double leaf steel door with a wicket. The interior of the building is full height and is painted concrete. The reinforced concrete frame of the building is exposed.
