Description

Mill Farmhouse and Mill, dating from the late 18th century, has been altered in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, red brick dressings, and slate roofs. It features two gable and a single ridge yellow brick stack. The farmhouse is attached to a water mill on its right-hand side.

The two-storey farmhouse has an eight-bay front. The off-centre entrance is a half-glazed door with a margin light sash window to its left, flanked by single blocked openings with brick arches and ashlar keystones. To the right of the entrance is a margin light sash window, a three-light glazing bar fixed window, and a planked door. The first floor has two margin light sashes, a half-glazed double door, and a fixed glazing bar window with a brick arch. The right-hand gable has been rebuilt in brick. Three gabled dormers with plain sashes are visible in the roof.

The interior of the mill retains original features including iron cog wheels, grinding stones, and oak floors.
