Description

SOUTH WITHAM CHURCH STREET SK 91 NW (west side) 9/138 The Angel Inn G.V. II

Public house. c.1700, altered early C19 and C20. Coursed squared limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, slate roof, 2 gable and single ridge yellow brick stacks. 2 storey, 4 bay front with plinth and off-centre C20 planked door with overlight and wooden surround, with to left 2 and to right a single 2 light plain casements. To first floor are 3 similar windows. All windows have C19 yellow brick segmental heads and C20 louvred shutters.
