Description
No. 2 Church Street is a house built in the late 18th century, with some minor alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is constructed of squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, although it is now rendered. It has a concrete plain tiled roof with two gable yellow brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door from the 20th century, which is sheltered by a gabled porch, and is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there is a central circular fixed light with a delicate cobweb pattern of glazing bars and a keyblock, also flanked by single glazing bar sashes. All windows are topped with flat ashlar lintels that have raised keystones. To the left of the main structure, there is a lower service wing that was added later.
