Description
Coverley House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two red brick gable stacks.
The front of the house is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The central bay contains a glazed door with a traceried overlight, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there is a central glazing bar sash window, with single margin light sashes on either side. All openings are framed with plain stone architraves that include re-used keyblocks. To the left of the main house is a lower two-storey service range with a pantile roof, which has two glazing bar windows with ashlar lintels and keystones.
