Description
The Plough Inn is a public house that dates from the late 17th century, with significant alterations and a new front added in the 18th century. It is constructed from squared limestone rubble, featuring a coursed rubble base and gable end, topped with a pantile roof that has a single yellow brick gable stack. The building is designed in an L-shape and stands two stories high with a three-bay front. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door, flanked by two small plain sash windows. On the first floor, there are two 20th-century three-light glazing bar casements. All openings are topped with segmental stone heads. Inside, the building retains cased-in beams.
